Silverado

Once upon a wine.
Uncork a bottle from Silverado Vineyards and a story pours out—the history of the vine, the tale of the terroir, the chronicle of the craftsmen that turn humble fruit into elegant wine. Woven into the DNA of founders Ron and Diane Miller—the daughter of Lillian Disney—this narrative approach has long made them a staple of the romantic Napa Valley. So when we became their partner, charged with renovating the way they appear in the world, we turned to the thing that sets them apart—storytelling.

A story teaches us that many chapters make up a whole. In order to capture the narrative poured into every bottle from Silverado Vineyards, we had to think about the experience, the wine, the heritage of their sites, and their prospectors as individual pages of something bigger. And to unite them, we had to treat them with a singular style, a natural, romantic, and generous warmth that would allow the wine aficionado to taste these deliberate notes as just one flavor.

So when we became their partner, charged with renovating the way they appear in the world, we turned to the thing that sets them apart—storytelling.

“We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories.”
Jonathan Gottschall
